Extreme weather, historical temperatures, and massive wildfires are all disasters that have become our neighbors more than ever in these past few years. It’s uncomfortable to see the world around us changing so rapidly, but our job is to ease the discomfort by inspiring change with what we have to offer. The solar industry is growing at an exponential rate, which isn’t news to any of us. But this is only the beginning, as solar is a relatively new solution to the climate crisis, and the industry will only expand from here.

Solar is an essential solution as the world goes around with the energy created by solar. Within the Solar Futures Study conducted by the U.S. Department of Energy, it is estimated that 90% of solar development will occur on rural lands. According to the Great Plains Institute, there has yet to be a single region within the U.S. to surpass 0.5 percent of total solar within a country’s total land. That includes both existing and currently queued solar. To put it in perspective, we have a long way to go and a lot of land to cover.

As more agricultural sectors begin to go solar, the closer we strive towards a radiant future throughout all industries. Our goals should be to prioritize the installation of solar in locations where there are greater benefits for customers’ best interests and help them step into their bright beginning of going green. We all know how much sustainable thinking impacts our lives, and we need to share the desire to become more environmentally conscious as it is such an essential path.

See how you and your community can benefit from solar!
